Successful Prototype of Server-Based Hypercosm Simulation Platform
Hypercosm has successfully prototyped a server-based Hypercosm simulation platform that allows a high performance computer to host simulation content, while users can access and interact with the simulations from any device with an internet connection and Adobe Flash. The system was demonstrated to the Army's PEOSTRI Technology Director last week, and the team expects an SBIR Phase II contract later this year.

To create this platform, we modified the Hypercosm 3D Player to send a Flash video stream to any Flash client via a RTMP (Real Time Messaging Protocol) streaming server. The Flash client can interact with the Hypercosm 3D Player using the mouse, keyboard or other events via an Internet socket connection, making the simulation content interactive. The Flash client can run on any platform (desktop, phone, tablet) that supports the Flash Player version 8 or higher.
