Description

This simulation is a visualization of data from an MRI brain scan.

Purpose

This applet combines two data sets: one data set depicts the shape and location of the brain. The other data set shows the areas of stimulation denoted by areas of increased blood flow. This data set shows increased stimulation around the region of the eyes.

Features

• Dynamic data loading
  The MRI data sets for this applet are read in when the applet loads rather than being "compiled" into the applet. This allows the data sets to be changed without rebuilding the applet.
  
  
• Volume visualization
  This applet uses Hypercosm's volume visualization capabilities to dynamically create surfaces from volume data. This applet even lets you change the threshold value and regenerate new surfaces based upon a new value.
