Description
This simulation is an interactive anatomical guide to the muscles of the arm.
Purpose
The simulation allows the user to grab muscles by their attach points and to move them as if performing a dissection. The high degree of interactivity makes this type of tool effective at teaching complex anatomy. With the power of 3D simulation, "virtual dissections" can be performed at any time with the convenience of sitting at a computer. This type of training tool also can be a great "refresher training" device whereby a medical student could perform a virtual dissection immediately prior to performing a real dissection.
Features
- Direct manipulation
The muscles can intuitively be grabbed and moved using direct manipulation.
- Muscle squash and stretch
As you move the attach points of a muscle, the muscle "squashes" and stretches to make the muscle deformation appear more realistic.
